Elderly Man Charged with Murdering Wife in Pancake Dispute

An 85-year-old man in Washington, D.C. has been charged with murdering his 81-year-old wife over a dispute about pancakes. Steven Schwartz allegedly stabbed his wife, Sharron Schwartz, in the back with a kitchen knife after refusing to eat the pancake she made for him. Schwartz claimed that his wife insisted he eat the pancake because she loved him and wanted him to regain weight following a stroke. He reported grabbing a carving knife and threatening to harm himself before his next memory was seeing his wife lying on the ground.
