Driver Claims Animal Collision, Police Discover Dead Body in Car

A man in White Settlement, Texas, was detained after police found a dead body in his car's passenger seat. The driver, Nestor Luján Flores, had apparently fatally struck a pedestrian but claimed he had hit an animal. Police discovered the body after responding to a report of a damaged vehicle with the driver slumped over the steering wheel. Flores now faces charges of intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid. The investigation has been handed over to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.
