Double-fatal crash claims Springfield Township officer and civilian driver.

A Springfield Township police officer and a civilian driver were killed in a collision on Hamilton Avenue near the Ronald Reagan Highway. Officer Tim Unwin, 31, was responding to an officer needs assistance call when the crash occurred. The other driver, William Dunson, 50, had just dropped off his brother and was pulling out of a Kroger parking lot. The investigation has been turned over to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department. The Ohio Attorney General expressed condolences to the families and the community.
