"Disturbing Case: Chicago Man Accused of Microwaving Kittens and Killing Others"

A Chicago man, Thomas Martel, has been arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and two counts of animal torture after allegedly torturing and killing several cats. Martel is accused of drowning, squeezing, and mutilating the cats, and a kitten was found microwaved in a plastic bag at his apartment. The suspect had serious mental health issues and was taking prescribed medications.
