Derrick Thompson faces charges in fatal Lake Street-area crash that killed 5 women.

Derrick John Thompson has been charged with 10 counts of criminal vehicular homicide after driving into another vehicle, killing five young women in Minneapolis. Thompson was possibly impaired and tried to run away from the crash but was arrested nearby. He faces federal charges of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
