"Deputy Shot in Union City While Serving Eviction; Suspect at Large"

An Alameda County sheriff's deputy was shot while serving an eviction notice in Union City, California. The deputy was transported to a local trauma center with critical but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is believed to still be in the area and is considered armed and dangerous. Several people have been detained, but the shooter remains barricaded. The deputies were from the civil division and were in full uniform and armed.
