Denver high school shooting suspect found dead in woods.

The suspect in a shooting at East High School in Denver, identified as 17-year-old Austin Lyle, was found dead in a nearby county. Two school administrators were injured in the shooting, and one remains in critical condition. Lyle had agreed to be searched every morning as part of a "safety plan" following previous behavioral issues. The shooting marked the third incidence of an active-shooter threat surrounding the school since the start of the academic year. Denver's public school system decided to remove its in-school Denver Police Department officers in 2020.
