Delphi Murder Suspect Richard Allen Faces Key Hearing in Court

Defense attorneys and prosecutors argued in court about self-incriminating statements made by Delphi murder suspect Richard Allen linking him to the deaths of Abby Williams and Libby German. Allen's attorneys argued that the statements couldn't be trusted due to their client's mental state and requested he be moved to a county jail for his mental health and wellbeing. Prosecutors argued that Allen's treatment is humane. Allen's defense team also filed a motion to suppress certain evidence from the case, including a bullet found near the girls' bodies that was determined to have been ejected from Allen's Sig Sauer Model P226.
