"Delaware State Police Probe Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting"

Delaware State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in New Castle that resulted in the death of a 28-year-old man. The man was observed shoplifting and attempted to flee in a getaway vehicle, striking an unmarked police car. When troopers tried to take him into custody, he resisted and continued to drive in a manner that endangered officers, leading to the shooting. Two troopers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
