Deaths of Irvo Otieno and Black man at mental hospital caught on video

A grand jury has indicted the seven deputies from the Henrico County Sheriff's Office and three hospital employees charged in the death of Irvo Otieno, a mentally ill man who suffocated to death earlier this month while in law enforcement custody in Virginia. The seven deputies were indicted on one count of second-degree murder each, while the three hospital employees were each indicted on one count of second-degree murder. Otieno died during an encounter with law enforcement in Petersburg, Virginia, while being transported from the Henrico County jail to Virginia's Central State Hospital, a state-run psychiatric facility.
