Deadly Shooting Erupts After Virginia High School Graduation Ceremony

A gunman opened fire after a high school graduation in Richmond, Virginia, targeting an 18-year-old graduate he had a long-running dispute with, killing the graduate and his father and injuring five others. The suspect, Amari Pollard, 19, knew the victim, Shawn Jackson, and the two had been embroiled in a dispute for more than a year. Pollard was arraigned on two counts of second-degree murder and ordered held without bond. The graduation ceremony for Huguenot High School was held at the city-owned Altria Theater, and hundreds fled in panic after the shooting.
