"Dayton Police Cruiser Crushed in Dramatic Gunfire Chase"

A police pursuit on the west side of Dayton, Ohio, ended with a pickup truck running over an officer’s vehicle and a major roadway closing. The chase began after a woman was struck by the truck, and the suspect then pointed a long gun at officers and fired at them while evading capture. The truck eventually crashed head-on with a police cruiser, injuring the officer inside. The suspect was subdued by law enforcement, and all injured parties, including the woman struck by the truck, were hospitalized. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has taken over the case.
