"DA Releases Video Evidence of Fatal Chattanooga Police Shooting"

The Hamilton County District Attorney released security camera footage showing Roger Heard Jr. firing multiple shots at a Chattanooga police officer before being shot and killed by police during an exchange of gunfire at a gas station. Heard, a violent felon and known drug dealer, had outstanding felony warrants and was participating in illegal drug transactions at the time of the incident. The officer injured in the shooting, Celtain Batterson, underwent surgery and is expected to recover. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is handling the investigation, and community members have called for the release of additional video footage.
