Controversy Surrounds Killing of Beloved Swans in Manlius, NY

Eman Hussan, an 18-year-old teenager, was arrested and charged with grand larceny, conspiracy, and criminal trespassing for allegedly killing and eating a town-owned swan named Faye on Memorial Day. Hussan and his two underage accomplices also kidnapped Faye's four babies. The incident caused grief to Faye's mate, Manny, who may be removed from the pond where they lived to prevent him from becoming combative. The teenagers allegedly hunted for fun, not for lack of food. Hussan was released on his own recognizance and is due in court on June 15.
