Columbus Police Provide Details on Officer-Involved Shooting Resulting in Suspect's Death

Two males were arrested by Columbus police in connection with an armed robbery spree that resulted in a shootout on the interstate, leaving an officer wounded and one suspect dead. The suspects were detained as "people of interest" after running away on foot from the shootout. The wounded officer underwent emergency surgery and is now in stable condition. The search for the suspects drew a large police response, causing road closures and traffic disruptions.
