Business owner apprehends armed burglary suspect

An armed burglary suspect was arrested after being confronted by a business owner at a scrap metal yard in Rochester. The suspect, who was trying to scrap stolen property, took out his weapon when confronted, prompting the business owner to defend himself with his legally owned pistol. The suspect then attempted to flee in a stolen vehicle, nearly striking a bystander, but crashed into a fence. The business owner fired at the suspect's vehicle in an effort to protect the bystander. The suspect was eventually apprehended by the police, and charges are still being determined. The business owner will not face any charges.
