Brian Steven Smith, a South African man, was found guilty on all 14 criminal counts, including first- and second-degree murder, for the deaths of two Native Alaska women, Kathleen Jo Henry and Veronica Abouchuk. Smith had previously admitted to the murders in an interrogation but pleaded not guilty during the trial.
