Bolingbrook Police Officer Shot, Suspect Barricaded in Residence

A police officer in Bolingbrook, Illinois, was shot after responding to a theft complaint at a business. The suspect initially fled the scene but later returned and fired shots at the business. The officer located the suspect at a nearby residence and was shot twice during the encounter. The suspect barricaded himself inside the residence but was eventually taken into custody. The officer is expected to recover.
