"Bolingbrook Police Officer Shot on Briarcliff Road; Suspect Arrested"

A police officer in Bolingbrook, Illinois, was shot after responding to a theft complaint at a business. The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Victor Zarate, allegedly fired shots at the same business later in the evening. No one was injured, but the officer was hit twice. With assistance from the Illinois State Police, Zarate was taken into custody without incident. Charges are pending against him.
