Beloved New York Swan Stolen, Killed, and Eaten by Teens.

Three teenagers were arrested for stealing a swan and her cygnets from a pond in Manlius, New York. While the cygnets were recovered, the mother swan, Faye, was eaten by one of the suspects' relatives. Mute swans like Faye and her mate, Manny, are considered invasive by wildlife officials. The young swans will be returned to the pond when they are old enough to survive on their own. Two of the suspects, aged 16 and 17, were released to their parents because they are juveniles, while the third, who is 18, is awaiting arraignment.
