"Baton Rouge Police Face Lawsuits Over Alleged Torture in 'Brave Cave'"

The FBI has been asked to assist in the investigation of the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) after a second federal lawsuit was filed against the department, individual officers, and the city. The lawsuit alleges that a Baton Rouge grandmother was taken to a black site called the "Brave Cave" where she was subjected to a humiliating strip search. Another lawsuit filed last month claims that a resident was taken to the warehouse and beaten by officers. The BRPD has initiated administrative and criminal investigations and the mayor has ordered the suspension of operations at the facility.
