Banko Brown's Killing Sparks Outrage and Demands for Justice in San Francisco

San Francisco residents are urging the city’s Board of Supervisors to pass a resolution that would ask California Attorney General Rob Bonta and the U.S. Department of Justice to review the shooting of 24-year-old Banko Brown outside a Walgreens store last month. Brown, a transgender Black man, was shot and killed outside the Walgreens during an alleged shoplifting incident. District Attorney Brooke Jenkins released the video of the shooting Monday and announced that she would not be filing charges against Michael Earl-Wayne Anthony, the private security guard who shot Brown.
