"Atlantic City Mayor and Wife Accused of Teen Daughter Abuse"

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr. and his wife have been charged with abusing and assaulting their teenage daughter, including punching her in the mouth and hitting her in the head with a broom. The mayor is accused of striking the girl in the head with a broom until she lost consciousness and making terrorist threats, while his wife allegedly dragged her daughter by her hair, struck her with a belt, and punched her in separate incidents. The abuse allegedly occurred while the girl was 15 and 16 years old. The mayor denied any wrongdoing, and the principal of Atlantic City High School, a close friend of the mayor, was charged with failing to report the abuse.
