Arrests Made in San Jose Daycare Drowning Tragedy

The owners of a San Jose home day care, Nina Fathizadeh and Shahin Gheblehshenas, have been arrested on suspicion of neglect resulting in the death of two children and non-life threatening injuries to another child. The victims, identified as 1-year-old Payton Cobb and 1-year-old Lillian Hanan, drowned in a pool at the daycare center earlier this month. The daycare had previously been cited for staffing and monitoring violations, including concerns about children accessing the backyard pool.
