Arrests Made in Brutal Attack on Tahoe-area Couple

Two individuals, Danny Serafini and Samantha Scott, have been arrested in Nevada in connection with the 2021 shooting of a couple in their Lake Tahoe-area home. The attack resulted in the death of 70-year-old Robert Gary Spohr and critical injuries to his wife, Wendy. The victims were known to the suspects, and investigators had previously considered the possibility of the couple being targeted. Serafini was arrested in Winnemucca, while Scott was arrested in Las Vegas. They will be extradited back to Placer County.
