Arrests made after chaos erupts from fireworks attack on Minneapolis police squads

Two individuals have been charged for shooting fireworks at Minneapolis police squad cars on the night of July Fourth. One incident involved a 17-year-old at Boom Island Park, where officers responded to reports of kids shooting fireworks at vehicles. The teenager admitted to firing the fireworks and fleeing from the police. In another incident near Bde Maka Ska, approximately 300 people were present when fireworks hit bystanders, trees, houses, and cars. One person fired a Roman candle at a police squad car, leading to the arrest of 18-year-old Zamir Abdulkadir Yassin. A total of 16 people were arrested for discharging fireworks at people, with no serious injuries reported.
