Arrest sparks police presence in Verona, Dane Co. budget hearing nears, shots fired at Warner Park Beach, buck crashes into Beloit restaurant, trial dates set for bike path assault suspect

A large police presence was observed in Verona, Wisconsin, when officers spotted Duan Briggs, who had an active felony arrest warrant for violating his parole. Briggs attempted to flee but was eventually apprehended after being found hiding under a car. He was booked into jail for resisting arrest in addition to his existing warrant.
