Arrest Made in Vermont Mother and Son Fatal Shooting

A Whitingham man, Christopher Ellis, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a mother and son that he was living with in their home. The victims, Michael Garvin and his mother Lucy Garvin, were found dead inside their home. Ellis, who has an extensive felony criminal record, was apprehended while driving a stolen truck belonging to one of the victims. He had been living with the Garvins since April and is accused of shooting them earlier in the week. Ellis is due for arraignment on Tuesday.
