Arrest made in Newton triple homicide of elderly couple and relative.

A Newton man, Christopher Ferguson, has been arrested and charged with murder, burglary, and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury in connection with the deaths of Jill D'Amore, Bruno D'Amore, and Lucia Arpino. Bloody, bare footprints found in the home led investigators to Ferguson, who was seen in surveillance footage walking shirtless with no shoes and a "staggering gait" near the crime scene. The victims were supposed to renew their wedding vows on the day of the attack, and investigators believe it was a random attack. A community meeting will be held to discuss the police response and how the community will heal from the tragedy.
