Arrest Made in Gaston Chase and Shooting Incident

A suspect, identified as 27-year-old Zachery Phillips, has been taken into custody in Gaston, Oregon, following a chase and shooting incident. The pursuit began after a deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation, but the driver refused to stop. Shots were fired from the suspect's vehicle during the pursuit, but deputies did not fire back. After the pursuit, Phillips attempted to carjack a community member but was unsuccessful.
