Arrest Made in Fatal Hit-and-Run Near National Mall: DC Man Charged

A hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a Philadelphia man in Washington D.C. while trying to flee from Secret Service has been arrested. Benjamin Robertson, 33, was charged with second-degree murder after allegedly running a red light and hitting 75-year-old Bing Wong and a 13-year-old girl before fleeing the scene. Wong, a retired chef and cancer survivor, was visiting the area with his daughters when he was fatally struck. The victim's family expressed relief at the arrest and is collecting donations in his honor.
