"Arrest Made in Case of College Student Found Dead in Car Trunk"

Jordan Isaiah Thomas, 39, has been charged with murdering 19-year-old college student Amarriah Smith and stuffing her body in the trunk of a car, which was later discovered by a tow truck driver. The victim, a student at Elizabeth City State University, was found in a car owned by Thomas, who allegedly dumped the vehicle before fleeing to a local hospital where he was arrested. The cause of death and the relationship between the two individuals have not been disclosed, but evidence was found at Thomas's home. The suspect is being held without bond and also faces charges of larceny of a motor vehicle and concealing the death of a person.
