Arrest Made After Stolen Car Driven into Fayette Mall

A man drove a stolen security vehicle into the Fayette Mall in Lexington, Kentucky, and was subsequently arrested and charged with stealing an automobile, fleeing and reckless driving, and burglary of the mall. The man, who had narcotics in his system, is recovering under guard at the hospital. The mall opened as usual the next day, with wooden boards replacing the broken doors. Despite the incident, some employees and shoppers still feel that the area is relatively safe.
