Arrest made after shooting and standoff in McKeesport

A suspect, identified as Michael Paul Plopi, has been taken into custody following a shooting and hours-long standoff with police in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Plopi is facing charges of criminal attempt, aggravated assault, and persons not to possess firearms. The incident occurred after an argument between Plopi and a woman, who was shot multiple times and is currently in critical condition but expected to survive. Plopi barricaded himself and a family member inside his home, prompting the involvement of the Allegheny County Police SWAT team and negotiators. After negotiations and the use of specialized equipment, Plopi surrendered peacefully to officers.
