Armed Woman Fatally Shot by Florida Police in Park Ambush

Police in Tallahassee, Florida, fatally shot a woman who ambushed them with a rifle while they were searching for a drug investigation suspect at Tom Brown Park. The officers recognized the woman as an associate of a man who had made previous threats to law enforcement. The woman walked away but returned shortly after firing a rifle, prompting the officers and a deputy to return fire. No officers were injured, and the drug investigation suspect was taken into custody. The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
