A man, identified as Marthely Theodore, was shot and killed by Smyrna police officers in Cobb County, Georgia, after allegedly pointing a gun at cars and officers. Video footage shows Theodore walking towards the officers with the gun at his side, and despite repeated commands to put it down, he raised the gun, resulting in officers firing multiple shots. Witnesses reported that Theodore had been waving his gun at people and drivers in the area. The incident marks the 81st shooting involving police in Georgia this year.
