After 451 days on the run, he was found hiding in a shed and arrested for sexual battery and lewd conduct with a child under 12. His daughters, Ana and Yaneiry, led a year-long effort to locate him, which included billboards, social media posts, and his appearance on 'America's Most Wanted'. They celebrated his arrest and claimed that more victims have come forward since their campaign began.
