American Nurse Murdered in Budapest, Suspect in Custody

An American tourist, Mackenzie Michalski, was killed in Budapest, Hungary, and a 37-year-old Irish suspect has been arrested. Michalski, a nurse practitioner from Portland, Oregon, was last seen at a nightclub before her disappearance on November 5. The suspect allegedly confessed to the killing, claiming it was accidental, and attempted to cover up the crime by disposing of her body near Lake Balaton. Michalski's family, who had traveled to Hungary to assist in the search, held a candlelight vigil in her memory.
