Albuquerque Police Investigate Fatal Overnight Shootings, Including Possible Self-Defense Case.

An Albuquerque business owner shot and killed a man who allegedly broke into his shop. The business owner claims he was defending his new shop and feared for his life. The shop had not even opened yet, but the owners say they had already seen two break-in attempts. The alleged burglar had tunneled his way through a hole in the wall and was waving a large hammer and an axe or a chisel when he stood up. The business owner shot the man after he walked towards him swinging. The police are investigating the business owner's claims of self-defense.
