Alabama man pleads guilty to jail escape and murder charge dropped.

Casey White, an Alabama inmate who escaped jail with the help of a corrections officer, pleaded guilty to a first-degree escape charge in exchange for the murder charge he faced in the officer's death being dropped. The officer, Vicky White, died of a gunshot wound during a police chase that ended in Indiana. Casey White was returned to prison and is already serving a 75-year sentence for attempted murder, burglary, kidnapping, and robbery. He will be sentenced on June 8.
