Casey White pleaded guilty to his 2022 jail escape and causing the death of corrections officer Vicky White, who helped him break out of the Alabama detention center. As part of the plea agreement, the felony murder charge was dismissed, and he agreed to a life sentence for the lesser escape charge. Casey White emotionally apologized to Vicky White's family in court, saying they were in love and planned to escape and create a new life somewhere. The sentencing is scheduled for June 8.
