Abducted South Elgin Girl Found Safe 6 Years Later in North Carolina

Kayla Unbehaun, who was abducted by her mother in 2017 when she was nine years old, has been found safe in North Carolina six years later, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Her mother, Heather Unbehaun, took her on a camping trip in South Elgin and disappeared with her. Kayla's father, Ryan Iserka, issued a statement thanking law enforcement agencies for their assistance and asking for privacy as they navigate this new beginning.
