A heavily armed 28-year-old woman, identified as Audrey Hale, killed three children and three staff members at The Covenant School in Nashville before being killed by police. The shooter was a former student at the school and had two "assault-type rifles and a handgun." The school serves preschool students through sixth graders, and students were being bused to a nearby church to be reunited with their parents. The names and ages of the victims have not been released, and the motive for the shooting is still unknown.
