The 1968 cold case of a Florida milkman and WWII veteran, Hiram "Ross" Grayam, has been solved 56 years later, with the emergence of two individuals who say the suspect confessed to them. The sheriff's office identified Thomas J. Williams as the likely shooter, who died in 2016, but two people came forward prior to his death, stating he had confessed to them. The case was reopened in 2006 at the family's request, and recent tips from an inmate and Williams' ex-wife corroborated the confession. The sheriff's office is seeking more information from the community to fully close the case.
