5 in custody for murder and robbery charges in Chicago police officer case.

Five suspects have been charged with armed robbery in connection to the fatal shooting of Chicago Police Department officer Areanah Preston. No one has yet been charged with her murder. The suspects are connected to a string of robberies that occurred before the shooting. One more suspect remains at large. Officer Preston was shot and killed while trying to defend herself from armed individuals in an apparent robbery. She was set to graduate from Loyola University School of Law with a Master of Jurisprudence. A procession is planned for Tuesday as her remains are carried to the funeral home.
