49-year-old man shot inside car near OEMC facility in Chicago's West Loop, police report

A 49-year-old man was shot inside a car in the West Loop area of Chicago, across the street from the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications facility. The victim, who was shot in the chest by someone on foot, attempted to flee the scene but lost control and hit a tree. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition. No one has been arrested, and police are investigating the incident.
