Sheila Keen-Warren, the alleged mistress and future wife of Marlene Warren's husband, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for killing Warren in 1990 dressed as a clown. Keen-Warren has been jailed since 2017, awaiting trial for first-degree murder, but improvements in DNA technology proved a hair found in the clown’s getaway car came from her. The plea deal will probably see her released from prison within a year. Keen-Warren's lawyer described it as "an incredible win for Ms Keen-Warren".
