3-year-old involved in multiple shootings leads to arrest of murder suspect.

A 3-year-old boy accidentally shot his mother and her friend in an apartment complex in Lafayette, Indiana. The two victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The shooter's mother's boyfriend, Trayshaun Smith, was arrested for an active warrant for murder in Cook County. This is the second shooting involving a child in the same apartment complex in the last two months. The Department of Child Services was notified, but the child was not taken into protective custody.
