"15-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Murder in Times Square Shooting"

15-year-old Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa has been charged as an adult with attempted murder after allegedly shooting a tourist in Times Square. He was captured on security video opening fire inside a store, injuring a customer, and then allegedly firing at officers during a pursuit. Rivas-Figueroa, who arrived in New York City from Venezuela less than six months ago, is also suspected in a January armed robbery and a non-fatal shooting in Midtown. He is currently in custody and due back in court on Tuesday.
