13-year-old suspect involved in multiple shootings with police in Florida and Tennessee.

A 13-year-old suspect exchanged gunfire with police during a chase in Lakeland, Florida, after officers responded to reports of a drive-by shooting at a park. One officer was shot in the foot and the suspect was shot in the lower extremities and taken to the hospital. The same teen had been arrested in January following a car burglary and had a stolen handgun at that time. Authorities are asking prosecutors to charge him as an adult.
